Toby sires 2 litters that are due less than one week apart
December 14
Well, Toby really stepped up to the plate!
Ultrasound has confirmed that Callie and Sally are both pregnant. Sally is due January 9th and Callie on January 15th.
Their tummies are showing somewhat and we're excited to see what these litters will bring. Callie is our biggest dog and Sally is our smallest female. Toby fathered both of their litters so this will be an interesting comparison.
What's a poppa with all these pups gonna do?
Toby gladly jumps into Radar's shoes and steps up to the plate
November 7
Sadly, Radar can no longer father pups for us. You can read more about why he was retired here.
Being rather exhausted from this whole ordeal with Radar, and sad about my dreams for Sally's and Radar's pups, we decided to let Toby and Sally mate.
We said, if he can reach, great, and if not... we'll wait for Sally's next cycle and artificially inseminate then. Well, I certainly was witness today, he can reach when she cooperates.
An ultrasound will be booked in mid-December to confirm a healthy pregnancy. I do expect these pups to be very smart and full of energy. I have no idea what colors we'll get. My guess is variations of browns and apricots.
Both Sally and Toby have sweet temperaments. Sally is very active and Toby is more middle of the road, but has lots of character. It should be interesting... and exciting too!
We expect pups around Jan 9-11th.
